Thrive Together Project

Thrive Together is a wellbeing and life skills programme developed by Rare-Breed Men Tribe (SCIO) to support individuals and families on low incomes who are struggling under the weight of the cost-of-living crisis.

The project is designed as a safe and inclusive space where people — particularly men, fathers, and families — can come together to:

🌱 Improve their mental health and wellbeing through practical activities like mindfulness, breathing techniques, and light exercise.

🎓 Build essential life skills such as budgeting, nutrition, employability, and communication to cope with everyday pressures.

🤝 Engage in peer-led mentoring and creative outlets like role-play, art, and music to strengthen confidence, connection, and self-expression.

Why It Matters

Why It Matters - thrive together - rarebreedmentribe

Many people we support have told us

“I earn a decent salary, but within days of payday, the money is gone.” “I feel isolated. I don’t have a safe place to talk about what’s going on.”

These stories are not unique. Across our communities, men and families are struggling with financial stress, social isolation, and poor mental health. Thrive Together exists to change this narrative.

How It Works

Weekly sessions over 12 weeks

    • 30 minutes – Mental wellbeing activities (breathing, mindfulness, light exercise)

    • 30 minutes – Peer mentoring and creative expression (role-play, music, art, storytelling)

    • Volunteer support (including childcare support for parents)
    • Access to signposting and community resources
